Project Overview
The Asia Foundation (TAF) runs the Oporajita project to help women garment workers in Bangladesh build the skills the industry will need as it automates. Fifteen partner organisations work together under a Collective Impact model, with TAF as the backbone organisation. They came to ARITS Limited with one problem: every partner collected data differently, so no one could see the whole programme. We built the dashboard that gives them a single shared view.
The Brief
Standardise how partners submit data, make collaboration easier, and give the team the numbers it needs to make decisions, all in one place.
What We Built
A program management dashboard that:
- Standardises partner data submissions into one format
- Visualises and analyses data in real time
- Supports collaboration across organisations
- Keeps a central archive of project data
- Scales securely as the programme grows
It includes modules for reporting, collaboration tracking, logframe visualisation, and archive access. We took it from UX design to deployment in an 8-week cycle.
How We Worked
We ran the build in agile cycles:
- Requirement gathering and user-journey mapping with TAF and the partners
- Interface prototyping in Figma
- Scalable front-end and back-end build with real-time data processing
- UAT rounds with TAF and partner organisations
- Training and ongoing support so teams were comfortable using it
Key Features
- Standardised dashboards for cross-partner visibility
- A report builder for sharing insights with donors and the project team
- A collaboration tracker that surfaces joint activities and opportunities
- An archive for submitting and reviewing historical data
Outcome
The Oporajita partners now work from one shared system instead of scattered spreadsheets. Achievements are easier to monitor, reporting is simpler, and decisions rest on data the whole network can see. It is the digital backbone behind better livelihoods for women in the garment sector.
Team
Senior Solutions Architect: Fahim Hossain. Project Manager: Mohammed Nurul Azam. UI/UX Designer: Maher Khan. Plus full-stack developers and SQA engineers.
Related ARITS work includes an MRM system for Swisscontact, digital sales automation for Spectra Hexa Feeds, and a one-stop aquaculture platform for WorldFish.
Technology
A modular, service-oriented architecture. An API-driven backend with a modern web frontend. A search-optimised index for analytics, a document store and a relational store for the data, and a caching layer that keeps the dashboards responsive in real time.
Oporajita is one of our web platform builds. See more case studies.
